Who knew that Facebook Live could be a platform for a woman to kill her husband in cold blood while the world watches? I’m not sure if it’s more disturbing that this actually happened, or that someone would use Facebook Live for such an atrocity. Nonetheless, Kadejah Michelle Brown has been charged with the murder of her husband, Jeremy Brown, after the couple had an argument that escalated into a physical fight. How quaint.
The argument was apparently captured on a Facebook Live stream, but let’s be real, who wants to watch that? At one point, Jeremy is heard telling Kadejah to stop touching him, and shortly thereafter, a single gunshot is heard. I guess we should all be grateful that it was only one shot and not an entire shootout. Jeremy died on the scene, leaving four children to grow up without a father.
But why did Kadejah do it? According to the video, she accused Jeremy of not spending enough time taking care of their kids. Well, that makes perfect sense. Why not kill your husband in front of your kids instead of having a civil conversation with him?
The audio is unclear, but Kadejah allegedly said “I’ll kill your a**, b**ch” before the gunshot. Classy. She also allegedly said “I don’t wanna go to jail” after the shot. Sorry, Kadejah, but you can’t just kill your husband and then hope to avoid the consequences.
According to the sheriff’s office, there was a history of domestic violence between the couple, but it’s unclear why the argument was livestreamed on Facebook. I’m sure the Browns had a lovely evening arguing and decided that they wanted to share their misery with the world. How thoughtful.
Now Kadejah is being held on a $750,000 bond, and the investigation is ongoing. I hope the criminal justice system holds her accountable for her actions, and that justice is live-streamed!
